Theodore G. Harvey, 53, of Port Huron, died April 23, 2017 after a brief illness.

He was born September 26, 1963 in Port Huron to Theodore J. and Virginia A. Harvey. He married Brenda Gauld on December 31, 2016 in Port Huron.

Ted was employed with the Huron House and Youth for Christ East Michigan. He also served at the Harrison Alternative Learning Center as a mentor and youth leader. He was a member of the Gideons International and was active with Bridges Church. He loved to serve his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and witness to those he met on a daily basis. He graduated from Port Huron Northern High School in 1982 and served in the National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda; step-children, Kimberley Gauld, Austin Gauld, Denise Gauld (Dustin Cunnington) and Weston Gauld; parents Theodore J. and Virginia A. Harvey; brothers, Matthew J. (Shelly) Harvey, James J. (Andrea) Harvey and Thomas Z. (Tina) Harvey; 9 nieces and nephews; godmother, Pauline Steinborn and numerous cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hillside Wesleyan Church. Pastors Scott Babin and Anthony Carroll of Bridges will officiate.

Visiting hours are 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the service time at church.

The family prefers memorial donations to Youth for Christ East Michigan or Bridges Church.
