Deborah Lou "Debbie" Pemberton, 62, of Fort Gratiot Township, joined her husband, David, in heaven on December 3, 2017 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Her parents, Herb and Donna Rosine, and her niece, Allison Gutierrez, were also there to greet her.

Debbie worked as an Election Inspector for the City of Port Huron. She also enjoyed working with her extended family for many years at Orthopedic Associates where she forged close relationships with her colleagues.

She was a member of The River Church. Dedicated to her faith, she served the church in many capacities and found comfort in giving of herself generously.

Debbie's graciousness, giving spirit and unwavering faith were her living testimony to the Lord. Her love and kindness was the legacy she left to her family and friends. She touched so many lives with her generosity.

Her daughter, Emily, was her greatest joy throughout her life. They shared an extraordinary and everlasting bond. She also leaves to grieve her loss her sisters, Janie Rosine and Lori Zielke; brother, Greg (Shari) Rosine; several nieces and nephews; and her long time close friend, Mary and other extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm Thursday, December 7, 2017 at The River Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Pastor Bill Wahl will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the family to help offset the costs of Debbie's medical expenses.
