Barbara Joan Hyatt, 86, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, September 5, 2017.

She was born July 17, 1931 in Sarnia, Ontario, to the late William and Margaret Phillips. She married Richard R. Hyatt on August 7, 1948 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on December 11, 2013.

Barbara was a mail order worker at Mary Maxim, retiring in 1985 after 14 years of service.

She is survived by four children, Richard (Stella) Hyatt of South Carolina, Ellen (Dale) Goulette of Fort Gratiot, Donna (Paul) Stroh of Jeddo and Sharon Slishinsky of Port Huron; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Brenda Butler and Barry Phillips, all of Sarnia, Ontario. She was preceded in death by two sons, Roger Thomas Hyatt and Norman Alan Hyatt and four siblings, William, Betty and Barton Phillips and Beverly Dionne.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 8, 2017 at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Reverend Bill Forbes will officiate.

Inurnment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
